5700 GPS receiver FGCS Report

The U.S. Federal Geodetic Control Subcommittee (FGCS) tests GPS receivers for compliance with stated specifications. On 26-27 July 2001 the FGCS tested Trimble's 5700 GPS receivers, Trimble Geomatics Office™ 1.50 software, and Trimble Total Control™ v2.50 software.

Accordingly, the FGCS has granted preliminary acceptance of the 5700 GPS system, indicating that the system meets the requirements of the FGCS, and meets or exceeds the manufacturer's specifications.

A report containing the test results was presented to the FGCS on 17 August 2001, and Trimble was notified by letter of the preliminary acceptance on 13 February 2002.
